Ajman University (AU) was the first private university for higher education in the UAE and the Gulf region.  AU has recently been recognized as an up and coming leader in the academic world globally.  With its world ranking now creeping into the top 1,000 universities worldwide it is a fantastic achievement for a local academic institution.  Its unique destination which is easily accessible by car from Dubai and Sharjah, making Ajman a destination of choice.

The city of Ajman has recently been ranked as high as 61^st among the world’s top 100 destinations for students.  This is partly due to the beautiful and peaceful beach areas which are a lot quieter than its more popular neighbour Dubai.  The safety and tranquility of Ajman is the perfect combination for students who require much needed respite when it isn't too hot.  

Ajman University is well planned and developed with 4 main buildings representing the majority of the complex. J1 is one of the largest of them all having a total space of 20,000 square metres over three floors.  This facility alone has 25 lecture halls and 23 laboratories.  J2 is an impressive building housing more than 56 lectures halls and 56 laboratories as well as  space for 204 faculty offices.  The sports complex is nothing short of fantastic hosting a 25-metre indoor pool, multiple sports halls and two fitness centers.  The outdoor facility is equally is good with playing fields for volleyball, basketball and football.  The campus is capped off with its magnificent Sheikh Zayed Centre that houses a convention center and AU’s modern library.
